Welcome to The Port Neill Primary School Website
The purpose of our site is to share with you the learning experiences that are occurring at our wonderful school, and to keep you informed and updated about general matters. At Port Neill Primary we are dedicated to offering a holistic education. We strive to educate the whole child; empowering each student to be the best versions of themselves with positive wellbeing and reaching their individual academic and personal goals.
Positive Behaviours for Learning, Pastoral Care lessons, mindfulness lessons, our school values of Respect, Resilience, Kindness and Teamwork are all embedded into our day and showcase our deep belief in the importance of positive wellbeing. We provide differentiated teaching and learning so each child experiences academic success and growth.
Our 2020 site improvement focus is to ‘improve the reading competencies of each individual student’ and ‘improve decoding skills of all students.’ Our literacy program incorporates evidenced based programs and staff are continuously striving to deliver high quality teaching and learning.
We are proud to incorporate Playcentre into our school, which is held Friday mornings for parents/caregivers and their children aged between 0-5 years. Playcentre is a quality program which provides an opportunity for parents and caregivers to meet, and young children to play and interact with each other as well as the school children. Playcentre also provides our Reception children with the opportunity to participate in quality play based learning.
